Default What's a fair price to ask for 02 LS - 122K

Assuming it is in good condition with no major repairs to be done... what is a fair price to 'haggle' with without being kicked out by the dealer!

Carfax has clean history. Lexus service history seems clean - 90K service done at around 96k and the latest service seems to be the 30K maintenance (I assumed because it shows "30K VALUE") - most service done seems to be at a lexus dealership in California.

*** The only issue I see is a recommendation to replace left and right door lock actuators at 94k but the records didn't show that it was done.

INCLUDED OPTION (from the listing):
- Mark Levinson
- Navigation
- Sport Suspension (???)
- Heated front and rear seats
- 17 in chrome wheels

Color: White/Ivory interior

Asking price is $14995 - it is high I think. What is a fair 'counter' offer assuming the car is in relatively good condition? Is asking $11k a stretch in California?

Thanks again for your valuable input:

If you don't mind the 01-03 style and features compared the 04-06 model go for it. I would try the 11k and see where they go they might meet you half way at like 13k. If not theirs penty more ls 430 out there.

The car does not have many of the items in the option list at the end of the listing, such as sport suspension, 17" chrome wheels, adaptive cruise, and self leveling suspension. They just started checking off possible options on the car assuming it must have them all.

Yes, I do prefer the 04-06 models. My wife would like backup camera but it is not a 'must'. Price is my deciding factor. Most 04-06 models I see listed here in Northern California are way overpriced - but I'm sure it's negotiable. Thanks.

That's a bummer... Thanks.

i would hold off for a 04-06, you will love the 6 speed tranny, doing 60mph you idle at 1700rpm also better resell,Yet i think think the 01-03 body looks more bulkier and rounded, imo.

Hey I think it would be good to put out another 2 or 3 grand and get an 04. I am supposed to pickup an 04 ml which has the rearview camera, park sensors, ventilated/heat seat, etc. with less miles than the one you are looking at (98k miles). Private owner 13.5k. I have to drive a good 800 miles though but it is worth it. Goodluck.

Good points... I've decided I'll hold off and find an 04-06 model. Thanks!

What part of Cali do you live in? My cousin lives in Hercules (bay area) and he wants to sell his 05 LS430

I am in Sacramento - it's about an hour drive to Hercules. I am definitely interested. Thanks!

If you can buy it for 10K and it checks out, go for it. An 04 with decent miles will go for considerably more.
