I plan on installing a HID kit in the fog lights soon and despite searching, nobody seems to have a step by step guide with pics yet.

Cliff notes version:
Remove wheel and then the wheelwell molding to the point at which you have access to the inside of the bumper (and consequently the backside of the fog light housing).
You will have to remove the electrical connector out of the back of the fog light assembly and one bolt connecting the assembly to the bumper (it's an 8 or 10 mm, I forget which). In addition, you will need to pull a hose for the headlight washer system out of a clamp right behind the fog light and just get it out of the way for the time being.
Now, the fog light housing is just being held in place tightly by the bumper itself. You are going to have to pop it out with force. You are going to pop it inward, in other words towards the engine, and also the rear of the assembly will have to come upwards slightly in order to disengage more easily. The best way I have found to get it popped out is to hit it from the outside with the palm/base of your hand (this could get tricky if the plastic is cracked so wear gloves). Give it a good whack or three and it should pop out. It's usually a real pain in the ***, so just expect that and try not to get too frustrated. HTH.
