Iam I getting a good deal for an 04 ls430
Hi their, I'm new to the forum and about to buy my second Lexus. The ls430 I'm looking at is an 04 white/cream with nav. Nit sure on the options model. It has 69k and the owner is willing to accept 17k. I think it's a okay deal but I think 16k would be better. He does not have a full service history and is second owner. He told me the vin and have to purchase a car fax.
Thanks for the info and look forward to the input and using this forum.

The early production vehicles had their transmissions recalled and replaced. My car was an early one and had the transmission replaced. Absolutely no problem. Only a fool would not have had the transmission replaced, but it would probably have given problems before the 4 year warranty ran out. You have the VIN number and any dealer can tell you if it was replaced.

I've had my '01 since '04 when I bought it as a CPO car with 45k miles on it-both the prior owner and I have had nearly all service (only exception being some of the oil changes) so VIN history in Lexus computers shows everything-I expect that to be very valuable information to the buyer of my car even though it won't be a lot of $ but they will know how well the car has been cared for and even with 203k miles it should provide good reliable service while riding in a terrific and modern package for less than $10k
