Default Is it possible to debadge the stock grill?

I've seen a lot of photos of LS430 without the badge on the front, not sure if they bought an entirely new / different grill or something..

Also, if you can take it out doesn't it leave a hole?

I'm proud to own a Lexus. Why would anyone want to remove the L? Somebody might mistake it for a lowly Ford Five Hundred.

I'm pretty sure the pictures you are talking about are aftermarket grills. I think de-badging the OEM grill could be done, but you would have to put something in place of the chrome L or it would look messed up.

I am not a big fan of the big L or the chrome grill surround because I am not a fan of chrome, period. I think the grill would look a better and classier painted, and at one point was planning getting mine painted, but I got used to it .... but, if my car ever has to go into a bodyshop, I'll probably paint it.

You can take the L off by undoing the screws and clicking it out of its tabs from the rear but YES it will leave a hole.

You need to buy an aftermarket grille without the L. There are some on ebay and other auto shops if you prefer a grille with no L.

I personally like the L and I replaced mine with a full chrome grille. Here is the link and you will see the grille when I took the L off to swap it onto the new grille.

I have run the car with a plain chrome grill no lexus badge for a year, a black chrome grille with no lexus badge for another year , and lately with OEM grill - in the end I put the stock OEM grill back on and will likely leave it on. The replacement grills can be had for less than $100 on ebay. They are ABS plastic like the OEM part and can be easily switched out in 15 minutes.

Yeah just save your oem grille and get the ones on ebay.
You can paint it if you like

You could always make a plug to fit the grille, then get a sign shop to print you a stick-on badge, maybe your initials, etc.
