2004 LS430UL rear drivers side door stuck
i have been to the end of the internet and back and cannot find a fix for the problem i'm having. i have a 2004 ls430ul and the rear drivers side door is stuck. i cannot get it open from the inside and i cannot get it open from the outside. since the exterior has sensors to auto unlock when i put my hands through the handles, i can hear it trying to unlock but it doesn't seem like it's catching. since i cannot get the door open, i have no idea how to get the door panel off to do any kind of fixes. does anyone have any tricks on how to get the door unlocked or any diy posts that i may have missed? any advice would be great!

Well, one of russian LS club owners had this. Exactly driver side rear door. Will try to dig out and roughly translate his posts.
If i remember correctly it was not an easy fix... But i may be worng. Digging posts.

tried unlocking this morning and it still didn't work. took it to get detailed and when we were going over the car, tried opening the door and it opened. it has been working fine since then but i would like to get the problem fixed before it gets the door stuck again. any ideas on what could have caused this or what parts i would need to replace? this is the strangest thing that ever happened to this car. thanks.

masterff...when the door opens and closes, it functions fine without any problems. but this is the second time that the door actually got stuck in lock position and will not unlock manually, with a remote, or even with the unlock button on the vehicle. it's like that door is jammed shut and will not open no matter what. but then all of a sudden, it just starts functioning again. i would like to find out if anyone knows what may cause this as the dealer wants to charge a hundred just to diagnose it.

I know people above have mentioned about disconnecting the battery to reset it, Have you tried having the problem door left open then disconnect the car battery and see if it gets stuck with the door being closed with no electrical circuit.
If it closes and opens fine, it's related to the door closer.

there are DTC's assigned for door ECU issues, have you scanned your car for any fault codes?
