Default How do I know If my air sus blew?

Just got off work day and going home I heard two loud pops and then a whistle-like sound.
then my car started diving to the floor.

stepped outside the car and all four sides are dropped to the floor.

the car has an asc controller and it shows its trying to raise the car but still dropped to the floor.

the suspension is original and never been replaced.. car has 192k miles.

could it be just the bags are blown or is the regulator not working properly?

any suggestions? thanks!

I don't remember the exact cost of each bag/strut, but I think it's around $1600 each. Way too costly to replace. I would suggest swapping the air out for steel springs and shocks or coilovers. Search the thread and you will find more info.

yikes, doesn't sound good, try to jack it up and let the wheels fall naturally, and hope it "resets" itself

New air struts are nowhere near $1600.

Here in Ireland, they're $900 each, and generally we're completely ripped off on part prices.

I reckon you'd be able to pick them up for sub $800.

Alternatively, find a crashed LS with lower miles, and swap over all the bags. At 192k I think they've done well to last that long.

I don't know much about the factory air in our LS's, but I'm pretty certain it's not your bags. What's the chances that all 4 would go at the very same time?

Do air suspension diagnostics at a good shop to find the leak. Maybe it's compressor's inner seals went, maybe an air line burst somewhere. It's hard to predict whats wrong without proper diagnostics so a visit to a shop is definitely needed.
