Factory UL suspension to E-Level...noob questions
Hey guys, I'm looking for some advice / info here.
My car currently runs the UL suspension with a Datasystems ASC680, and I'm looking to go aftermarket and run E-level. Just trying to plan ahead so the install goes as smooth as possible.
Can I use the factory sensors with E-level? If anyone has done this, how have they wired it up?
If I have to use the E-level sensors and I remove my factory UL sensors, will I have error/codes/lights on my dash? Will my auto-leveling headlights still work?
Thanks in advance!

You'd have to compare the signals that come out of the factory sensors and Accuair height sensors. My best guess would be no they wouldn't work. When I went e-level, the height sensors were removed, and I did get a bunch of error codes. I hooked them back up and got my AFS light to turn off and headlights working again.
If your installer an find a way to retain the factory height sensors AND mount the e-level height sensors, that would be ideal. But space is at a premium down there for a suitable mounting point.

And when I hooked up the factory height sensors, I zip tied them up in the wheel well without the rods attached. So they don't travel in sync with the suspension. It's a bit of a headache, but I tried to make the best of it.
I'm sure there might be some alternative ways of doing it.
