Here's a picture of the before and after of the headlight polishing I did when I first got it. Lightly sanded with 2000grit sandpaper (wet) and finished off with a rotary and Menzerna polish.

All these unique colors popping out of no where when one thought he seen it all

You should try to get some quality pictures sometime - i am really digging your LS paint along w/ the rest of the car as well.

Here are some pictures of the shave. I recommend doing this. It doesnt cause waves in the paint like rolling does. The LS and GS have similar fenders. They dimple because its a double layer with holes in the outer layer for retention screws. It yielded 14mm of clearance. I believe that's more than just a simple roll (without pull).

Sorry i just cant justify sawing off pieces of metal of the car for the sake of some wheels, what if you decide to sell it down the road and you put the stock wheels back on and the shavings of metal are missing from the car.

I understand at time when we buy a car we expect to keep it forever, but sometimes when the %^&^hits the fan, most of the times the cars go. Yet i respect the challenge your taking to make it a well respected car in your case. Also i like how you brought the headlights back to life, looks sharp.

I really appreciate your opinion. I see this car as a really fun and simple project car; definitely modding it to my liking. When I do sell it, those things will be pointed out to the potential buyer. If the price of the vehicle decreases because of it, I will accept that. I view that loss as part of the cost of modding cars. When you mod a car, and return the car back to stock, it's seldom back in it's original condition. But that is definitely part of the car modding scene.

Eventually the car will be worthless regardless of whether or not he cuts it. He's just enjoying it. I thought about it for a split second before shaving my gs. Then I realized it's a $7k car, it's not that serious......

Regarding your relevant question, this is the base LS430; no air suspension. It's on BC coilovers with 14/12k spring rates. I can't help you with your question.

Congrats and welcome! 1st off, your CLS looked absolutely amazing, you obviously have great taste I'm normally not a fan of chrome rims, but those 5 spokes give the LS a muscular look and I really like them. Good luck with the project, and be sure to post some pics of the M6 when you get it
