code B2610
#2
There are 2 limits to tilt position - the operation range limit is less than the physical mechanical lock position. Code B2610 is thrown when the tilt operation stops within the operation range (before it should hit the mechanical limits).
"The tilt motor is operated by the power voltage supplied from the power tilt+telescopic ECU and makes the steering column tilt upward and downward. Tilt position sensor (Hole IC) in the tilt motor detects the tilt of the steering column and outputs the signal to the CPU in response to that tilt. Limit positions can be confirmed on the screen of the LEXUS hand-held tester."
Diagnostic steps:
1) Check sensor power source circuit
2) Check actuator power source circuit
3) Check tilt motor circuit
4) Check/replace tilt+telescopic ECU

Thank you, I am negotiating on a LS to replace mine and these where stored in memory and the wheel was fine on my inspection at the dealer. No repairs showed in the records, why would the codes show with no repairs?
