Default Front Caliper - Wheel clearance?

Hi Guys,

I got a new set of wheels installed on my 430 and I just noticed there is only 0.635mm clearance between the caliper and the spoke.

Is it something I should worry about?

Thanks!

I usually recommend minimum 2mm clearance to my brake customers.

Yesterday I was reading the Stoptech faq and they also recommend 2-3mm.

I'll double check monday with the supplier if they sent the wheel with proper offset. (Wheels were available in 35 and 45) I asked 35, maybe they sent 45.

If they did sent the 35's, since I still like the wheels, I'm going to insert 3mm spacers and forget about it.

Thanks for your answer.

Offset is not the determinant for brake clearance, it's backpad height. The other offset wheel might/might not have a higher backpad. Just get a spacer and be done with it.
