repair ML cd player??
2003 LS 430, CD Player displays CD ERROR...Will not eject or load...All other AM/FM audio works...
Dealer Part, quotes $750. for a dealer exchange part??? Is it possible to replace just the CD player?

You might want to look at buying a used one, places like Ebay or salvage yards are good places to look. Here's an ad I found:

Then either DIY or pay a stereo shop a few bucks to install. Or see some aftermarket options.

My cd player gave me problems for years before I had it repaired. It would not always eject discs, and it did not like to have more than one disc inserted at a time. Turns out that there are sensors in the cd player that monitor the location of the discs, and several of those sensors were bad.
I was referred to this repair shop by my local Mercedes dealership. He has repaired a Becker radio for me as well as my ML cd player with great results. The cd player repair cost around $125.

here In Las Vegas but have not found one yet which is capable of repair...May be worth my while to head your way on our next visit to San Rafael to see our grandkids...My Best,
