Default Oil leak on top side of front strut

Just recently started hearing a droning noise, accompanied by intermittent vibrations while driving. While idling, everything is smooth. If I hit a bump ect, the vibration/shaking is pretty severe.
I've replaced a rear air strut myself, and will be replacing this front one today (if necessary)
I've never experienced, or heard of oil seeping out the top side of the struts. Anyone have an idea why it would occur? Should I go ahead and replace this strut?

2006 LS430 UL
Fortunately I do have a spare (used) air strut on hand.

Default Height control tube

Anyone ordered height control tubes before & know which part # I need ?

I need the one from driver-side front air strut, which runs along the bottom of the radiator to the compressor (located behind passenger side headlight)

These parts diagrams confuse the heck outta me :/

Cheers!

Attached is TSB SU001-06, Shock Absorber Replacement Criteria. It shows how much oil and where is normal and abnormal.
