I drove 2 M's and wanted to like them better than the LS as they do handle better. I agree the M's feel "used up" though it is an easy car to "pound" and beat up and I bet front suspension parts are an issue. The steering seemed tighter but almost nervous. It was no where near as quiet, and of course it felt deteriorated roads more. The interior was nice though like an expensive car.

It is more of a sports car versus a touring car. I liked the dash better not really a console guy though I like elbow room, not sure how they age, but they are tighter inside.

Feedback is I would tire of the more nervous steering, less settled ride even though handling would be fun. When I sold my first LS at 197k and bought one at 62 k there was not a "huge" difference. I doubt I could say that about the M.

I know which car I would prefer to take a long trip in that is for sure.

Did you drive a 535 or RL AWD or A6? In the dough you are talking look for a babied 535 for more of a sports versus touring luxury automobile. The A6's got real nice with the 3.0T versus the 3.2 or yikes 2.7, but that is still an expensive car used I think.

I prefer the G over the M I forgot to say, yes a little smaller still but a tighter feeling car overall, seemed like better not as nervous steering but more in the 328 class. Again now I drove 2 pretty beat up M's I think.
