These spacers work on my car for 3 year with removed cats. I am not prepared to go into technical detail, WHY they work, here... Basically, as sensor is removed from main flow, but still can 'hear' it, it produces needed waveform (low amplitude sine).

Oh ok. Some physics involved. Thanks for the tip.

So I replaced the front o2 sensors and replaced the gas cap. I changed the air filter and cleaned the maf and throttle body. The CEL, check vsc and trac off are still on. I noticed the car isnt as peppy, so i stopped by advanceauto on the way home to erase the codes. The car drove noticeably much better and has better throttle response, so I guess the ecu is putting my car in limp/safe mode. While I had my car hooked up to the scanner, I read the live data for the o2 sensors and the front 2 are working good (jump back and forth from low to high), the rear o2 sensors stay at 0.035 or go up to 0.055 and stay there. There is no jumping. Is this right? It seems the numbers are so low. I know the rear sensors are supposed to be stable with barely any jumping but this is kind of odd to me. I also made sure the cats were up to temperature as well, the scanner read cats temp around 500-700. I put my hand by the exhaust on both sides and the flow seems fine and evenly on both sides. Are the rear o2 sensors bad? I am debating to replace or use the o2 sensor extender for the rear. Thanks

From rear o2 sensors you have to get a lower amplitude sine, relating to corresponding front sensors. Idea is that CAT lowers the amount of oxygen exiting thru exhaust, and rear sensors are there to control the efficiency.
And yes, o2 sensors may fail in explained fashion, but usually the faulty one 'gets stuck' at lower reading (say 0.025v) and stay there for some time, then suddenly it comes to life for some more time, just to fall asleep again.

If you don't have a leak then it's the drivers side cat. Still getting code 420? Catalytic efficiency?
Magnaflow and a few others make good cats for the car. Or take them off and put on those spacers or whatever.
