What's up guys? I finally bought a 2006 LS430 UL about 3 weeks ago. Was so excited to introduce to you guys but been so busy. Love it more and more in the last 3 weeks. It is 95K miles, 1st owner with all dealer record. Here are some pics (sorry I haven't had time to take the pics myself, these pics from the seller). You might notice the radar sensor with PCS
And here are some questions: I took the car to a mechanic for PPI and the guy there said the car is in great condition. However, he noticed some moisture on transmission pan so he think I need to do transmission service soon. What kind of transmission service is that and how soon do I need to do it? Do I need to go to a Lexus dealer and usually how much for it? Also the brake fluid is dirty and need to flush soon. Another (not so good) part is that when the previous owner changed the timing belt, he didn't change the water pump. Does that mean if the water pump leak, I'll have to go through the whole process of timing belt/water pump again?
Thanks

Congratulations on your new UL... ride and comfort should be great.
On the water pump... it may last until you change the timing belt again... then you can change them both out.
I believe they're pretty reliable... and yes, you change it out when you change the timing belt so you only do the labor once and swap out both parts. So, yes... to do the water pump you have to remove the timing belt.
Nice color, looks to be in great shape. Enjoy the ride and welcome to the club.

It seems like most new or used purchases are either CL or UL. I looked at my UL window sticker and UL package plus other options added up to $15K. Mine was $70k plus tax new so after tax and license it was almost $80K. Of course BMW and Benz cost more but I wouldn't want to own one of those out of warranty. Congrat on your new car.

Thanks guys
Don't be jelly buddy . I'm still not happy that the guy gave me only 1 master key and a valet key, and there's some wear on the driver seat . However, coming from an Accord 2009 to me this is another world.

Don't feel too bad thats all I got when I bought mine from a lexus dealer and they were unwilling to make me any more keys unless I paid. You might be able to get the drivers seat slightly touched up with some dye from a dye company in your area. Several years ago I used to have a Rolls Royce show car. There was some wear on the seat bolsters and also the arm rest. A local upholstery guy gave me the number of a "leather doctor" who did some dye touch up. The seat and armrest looked like brand new and 3 years later didn't wear off at all. Great car btw! Excellent color combo!

Wow, now I notice? How can it be??? Any idea?
Also, I could't figure out what is this thing (in red below). The tape makes it look like it's manually glued to windshield, even though it's quite well wired in the roof. Does anyone know? Thanks

Beautiful car but that hideously mounted antenna taped on windshield would be first to go.
Is it me or does the suede headliner look like it was improperly treated or is that the camera?
