Hit By Driver Who Ran Red Light
Greetings all,
It is with a sad post that I share this with you today. On my way to work at 6am this morning, a driver ran the red light and hit me on the front driver's side. He took out almost my entire front end. He must have been driving about 35 - 40 mph. There was no horn blown or did I hear any screetching brakes just 1 second after I went to go thru my green light I was hit boom. My car was turned from going E to heading N. The other driver's car traveled about another 50 feet before his car came to a stop. I have 2 witnesses who already given their accounts to the police and they have stated that the other driver was at fault.
I thank GOD that I am able to tell you all about this accident. Here are some photos. Looks like the car is totaled. Talk later!

Did side air bags deploy? Stinks that it happened but you're safe so that's all that matters. Unfortunately for such a fine car our age, it's prob totalled. Keep us updated

You're kidding. You can clearly see the rebar sheared right off the left apron and the right one is shifted by what looks like a foot. If it were are few inches - no big deal and this car would be on the road for less than 7k [overpriced, inflated insurance & OEM 'new' parts from dealer; price].

Just went thru this a few weeks ago when an elderly woman blew a stop sign and totalled my beloved daily driver civic lol. Very fun dealing with all the insurance companies, doctors etc. Hope you got yourself a good attorney since you were not at fault and things will work out. Glad no one was hurt

Glad you are OK that is the important thing. If you had been a 1/3 second quicker you would have taken that hit directly into the drivers door. Much better to have the front end clipped off. Hope it works out OK in the end.
