im honestly not a huge fan of the ls460, It doesn't have that classic styling, and it just seems like they diverted a little too much from the previous model, instead of adding onto it.
that's not to say I wouldn't love to own one if I had the chance, its got a lot of power and its still and LS, but yea....

Yeah, it resembles the FACE OPENING in that movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger...THE PREDATOR. Lol!

Thanks for the video, Lavrishevo! Personally, I'm partial to the LS430. My local Lexus dealer actually talked me out of the LS460 recently due to the problems they are seeing with those vehicles now that the oldest ones ('07 - '09) are coming in with problems never seen by them with the 430 even at high mileage. For the long haul (if you intend to keep and drive well-beyond 100K miles), they say cost of ownership is less with the 430. All of their mechanics say the 430 was the best that Lexus engineered and delivered.

If someone offered any one of you guys a 460 on an even trade for your 430...you'd take it

I've always been a huge LS guy, I just am not a used car guy. My issue is the LS is getting so expensive, I don't know if I'll ever have one at this point. To get one optioned how I would want is going to be $80k nowadays...I just don't know that I would ever pay more than maybe $70k for a car...as much as I love cars.
I remember the good ol days when $65k got you a UL LS lol

Just me but if I am getting a new car with a full warrantee it is going to be German. The Japanese cars cannot match the German handling and feel and the warrantee covers any problems though the reliability has greatly improved. A8 with the 3 .0t can be had for around 75k I think.

I actually would disagree. In the GS's class, the GS has the best handling and road feel. The 5 Series has become much number, and larger, the E Class is very boat-ish. If you read the comparisons, the GS wins. I wanted to go German this time, I looked at all of them but the GS is just the better car.
Its not like it used to be, Lexus is making much sharper better handling cars.

If I were in the market for a new car the new GS with F Sport would definitely be on the top of my list. I drove my friend's 2012 BMW 535 sport package for a week while he was on vacation and I am not that impress with it. Although, I do like the look of the BMW better and wish the GS's produce a little more power. 350HP would be nice.

SW13GS, the hypothetical trade 460 for 430 ... just bought a '06 430 CL (50K miles) - flew to Portland, Oregon to get it, drove it home 2,200 miles ... could've bought a newer 460 for $10K - $15K+ more, but didn't. I wouldn't trade my '06 for a 460 (unless the 460 was a '13 or '14 since the math would dictate then). Though I would trade my '01 430 (with 235K+ miles) for a 460.
