Parts and their prices

Hi guys,
So I hit a curb about a month ago during the snowy days.
I didn't think I really hurt the car that bad. But after installing new Michelin MxM4, I noticed that I have this weird and ugly sound.
The car drives straight pretty much, and the steering wheel is also straight.
The sound is pretty much like a clothes dryer, and it only appears if I slightly turn either right or left.
I got my 4 wheels aligned at Les Schwab, and the mechanic showed me that my lower control arm took the hit, even though when you look at it you don't see it being bent, it just has tiny pieces of paint that came off, again this is the lower left control arm.
But that's not it.
He also said that my bearing has gone bad as well, plus the bushing.
They quoted me about $995, just the parts price. Not counting labor.
I appreciate you guys telling me any experience with this issue, and if it is possible a place that might have these parts but at least cheaper.
Thank you.

What is the year and model of your car?
Lexus LS430 in this thread has a hub which is about $250 for the part.

What bushing is the mechanic referring to?

Their prices are way high. Find your part numbers and order the parts yourself. Lexus of South Atlanta and Sewell (with CL discount) have good prices online. You will have to realign but you should be closer to $700 with labor depending on what you need. Rockauto also is a good source for some parts. Nothing worse then paying markup on parts.

Another option would be from partsouq. I ordered my air struts and LCA bushings from them. Arrived in 3 days from fedex international.
4864050050 1 183.60$
3DACF027FAS 1 134.34$
4865550012 1 50.77$
Items total: 368.71
their hub is KOYO which i believe is the OEM supplier and 50 less than the toyota part.
add 100 for shipping to my location in SoCal.
around 468 USD or so.
So, in summary, from my research of using all OEM parts the lowest would be $468 from International supplier or around $550 from Sewell Lexus with the CL discount.

I wouldn't let a chain place like Les Schwab do work like this on your car, regardless of the prices you're quoted. You don't where they're going to get their parts and most of the people that work at those kind of outfits don't have proper training, it's like getting someone at Jiffy Lube work on your car.
My guess is you only need a new bearing, but I would take it somewhere else and get a 2nd opinion.
At the prices you're getting quoted, a Lexus dealership would be cheaper.
I'm sure just like anything, there's always exceptions, but most chain places like Meineke, Midas, Firestone, Sears, etc. I would pass on except for something basic like buying tires.

I just get all my stuff through the Yota dealer. The Firestones, Sears, Costco I am glad you guys are happy with. I have had too many problems with simple tire shops.
