Adding extra roar to the V8
Hi guys,
Couple months back I installed the Injen intake. I was very surprised by the results.
The sound was amazing and I really loved the roar it gave out and made the V8 speak for itself.
But I guess I want more now
I am looking to having a bit more vigorous of a roar. A sound that maybe heard while the car is idling at 2,000 RPM- instead of how the Injen only shows up at between 3,500~4,000 RPM.
I want to keep the Injen intake, but I would appreciate any extra ideas to gain a little bit more sound.
I for sure don't want for it to sound like an old badly tuned Civic, just a little louder of the V8 scream.
Thanks guys.

Lots of options, from $0 by removing the mufflers(simple unbolt) to $3500 for headers, all new piping and junction produce axle-backs, and everything inbetween.
Mine was roughly $1100 with stainless ran from the center resonator back to magnaflows and custom cut tips to replicate fireball megas.

So is there a DYI instructions on removing the mufflers? Does it require a special tool?

I had them angle cut to remove the 3.5" inlet for flush mounting to the muffler bodies, and the 18" length is more than enough to give you whatever fitment you want. Mine protrude about 3" from the bumper.

Deleting the resonators produces a great sound on the LS. Cost varies at local shops $50-$130. Still quiet at hwy speeds but makes a nice throaty sound at low rpms such as taking off from traffic lights/stop signs. Highly recommend this exhaust mod.
