I was driving the other day and noticed my break light was on and the car tugging.. tugging stops I get to my destination and the car dies so I test the alternator and it’s bad. Replaced the alternator and now check engine light is on with 2 codes one being the Emergency brake/brake light sensor and transmission cylinoid.. any idea what happend? Where should I start car is at 140k

I actually got the car with the fenders already done, yooitsken on here had someone do it before i bought it. They did a good job honestly, i could run my finger along my fender and no nicks.

Not too sure honestly, but it shouldn't the clear coat should hold up to it hopefully.

Start by searching the LS430 forum for the diagnostic trouble codes. If you cannot find information on them then start a new thread asking for help with them. Providing the actual codes, not just the description of what the codes are for is important since it makes it easy for people to find information on it for you.

Got my differential oil changed out, I don't think it had ever been done and I have 243K miles. The old oil was a dark golden brown, so it was definitely time. The drain plug had a surprisingly low amount of particles on it however, I was expecting to see a lot more. No shavings or large particles either, quite happy to see that! No noticeable affects to driving or noise, but it's nice to have the oil fresh again.

Successfully installed the second dynamic damper onto the Rear Subframe and positioned both horizontally (instead of vertically) for better vibration absorption. Also, I discovered the way to install two (!) additional dampers onto the Differential without any drilling involved. Currently, still waiting for remaining 4 dampers to arrive in order to bolt them into pre-made mounts.

Well let's see what we did today to the LS430...

1) Timing belt, pulleys, tensioner, water pump, thermostat, engine temp sensor (which did in fact eliminate the slight yet annoying pinging issue), gaskets, sealant, crush washer, etc, etc
2) Oil changed with full synth Mobil 1 and filter (naturally)
3) Fortune Auto 500 Gen 7 coilovers installed with a 1" drop at all four corners

An alignment will come shortly.
