What did you do to your LS430 today?

Finally did the dreaded door lock actuator motor replacement today on the driver's door. Mine had been going out for awhile and finally failed a few weeks ago. Not sure why I worried so much about it now, it ended up being fairly easy to do with the guides available and the end result is I now have a working lock again! The old motor was completely black inside where the brushes are, crazy amount of dirt and carbon buildup. Definitely puts my mind at ease knowing my lock works again!

steering wheel upgrade
Hi everyone.
I have 2006 ls430 and my stock steering wheel all cracked up and missing small parts of the finish, so theres was no easy fox for it plus i didn't like the grip of the stock one, so i had an idea of swapping it from ls460
ordered from ebay steering wheel and airbag, plus buttons, to make everything work. Didn't get all electrical parts but did test fit. Airbag connector the same, clockspring takes new steering wheel no problems, thread and bolt fit about the same. Drove around for a bit now its part 2 which is making buttons functional.

Took an opportunity over the 3 day weekend to get some work done.
New serpentine belt
New air filter
GS350 lower control arm bushings
Metallic gold calipers (Lexus logos coming this week)
Cleaned up the rotors with some black gloss POR15
10mm spacers on the front with 10mm longer studs
Stretched fenders mildly to clear
Yellow fog light overlay from Laminix
Better pics to come, just grabbed some quick ones after re-torquing the new lugs after a short drive.

which paint did you use, I really like how yours came out. I used the vht gold engine paint, came out really nice outside of me getting some runs in the paint, but at least from your pics I feel like your gold is more what I was trying to go for...
your from the spathr looks like h&r from the color of it? If so great choice, I have that too, they fit really well and no vibration etc

Recently I have been thinking of getting a Guilia but several days ago I saw a Guilia go by and realized it looked like an LS 430. Of course the LS430 wont go 191 mph...LOL...
Now seeing your picture with the two side by side the resemblance is remarkable. I dont need a $40,000 car now! Especially if looks like my other one. You just saved me $40,000. Do I owe you a commission?
Wipe that grin off the Guilias face and they look like sisters.

Threw on the logos on the calipers today, but immediately second guessing their location. May redo them before I clearcoat them as I think they would look better further out on the caliper as opposed to favoring the inside. Would also make the logo more visible.

It rained pretty bad earlier so I tried to use the wiper at highest speed. I noticed it made a loud noise since the wiper was hitting the bottom. Not sure if it was caused by wrong length of the wiper. What's your experience when setting wiper to highest speed?

Yanked my ML Amplifier, and it's on the way to United Radio in Syracuse for a rebuild.
Going to try and get a refoaming kit for the speakers in the meantime, so that I can be back in business.
Also got in on the GROM Vline group buy on one of the Facebook groups, so I am looking forward to getting that installed and having carplay and better bluetooth!
