Edit- 84945-50010 is the switch
84944-50010 is the plastic cover. Very reasonably priced from Bell Lexus $8.40

Replaced ball joints and front control arms, forward bushings were in bad shape. Rides really nice now and front camber is back in spec.

New radiator/thermostat/coolant.

Thermostat is an easy job, turned out this thing (little valve) was at 6 oclock previously.
1634650010 - rubber seal
9091603100 - thermostat

Default MAF sensor problem

My 2002 Ls430 had a po330(I think it’s that code it’s a knock sensor code tho) code first so I went in and changed the knock sensor after I put everything back together and. Turned on the car it started but with a worst sound then before and turned off right after I checked the MAF sensor and it was dirty so I bought a new one and put it in and it’s doing the same thing I’m really stumped now.

Took the last drive. She is in hand of another CL member/enthusiast. Look out for his post.

Went to change the hood struts and dropped one of the ball studs and now it is living in the engine bay somewhere...

Edit: Was able to find the ball stud that I dropped using my WiFi camera and a magnet. Both hood struts changed and what a difference. Car still had the originals on it (not bad for 16 years).

Had the oil, filter, and rear differential oil changed at the dealer today as well as the annual state inspection. All set for another year on oil and prob 10 more years on the rear differential.

Dusted the car, put the covers (old sheets) over it in the garage, and celebrated that fact that in the last 5 years since I bought it at 109,000 miles I have put 30,000 miles and everything is working like it should, just routine maintenance - a set of brake pads, frequent synthetic oil changes, 3 transmission drain/fill, rear differential, brake fluid, air filters, clean MAF sensor, smog sensor, cabin filter, radiator cap. My goal is to have a near MINT car (like it is now) 10 or 20 years from now. The lack of aging on the interior and especially the paint is amazing, even though my car was frorm AZ. My car has tinted windows and I use the rear sunshade in the summer. No leaks of any kind.

Done a lot since the last time I updated.. Valve cover gaskets, caster bushings and mounts, replaced driver side front interior door pocket, replaced center console cup holder assembly, installed Injen short ram intake, and got another set of wheels. Next up is completely clean throttle body and replace gasket, and replace fuel dampers and small vacuum lines. Also going to repair and repaint my front bumper and repaint replacement trunk lid.

What do you think is the hardest part in terms of valve cover gaskets replacement? I did my few months ago, the hardest part was to lineup/putting the driver side cover back on. Since mine is UL, there is less space due to air hose going into the strut tower

I received my LS430 today. Some of you may have seen it on BringATrailer, it was the 2002 Black Cherry UL. Anway it's in my hands, and I will be perusing this board for info as I eventually replace the nav and do a few other things. Glad to be here. Last owned a 99 LS400 about a decade ago.
