Flyers fan I see. I wish I could say I'm proud of my team, the Rangers. Bring back John Tortorella I say!
What's the paint code of your LS John?
It's 072, moonlight pearl. I actually went to the factory label in the door to verify, because in reality, it was the new car dealer that sold it to me who listed it as moonlight pearl, so in reality I had not verified until a couple days ago. Beyond the descriptions, those door handle pieces have paint codes. Tortorella was supposed to coach the all star team but I see he had a family emergency....I saw Gretzky took over. These kids are amazing, like McDavid and Austin Matthews (the latter played Thu. night at the game I was at).....
Drove her. For the first time in a month or so. I've put 500 miles on her since August.
This is the "jam" my 335i is in. It went 1400 miles in 2016, and hasn't been driven since mid Dec. It's not totally on purpose, we only have a 1 car garage and it's hard to get it out, and I don't want to expose it to salt. But everyone I talk to says this is very bad for the car.
I may make it a point to take it to work unless they brine the roads....no snow this year but they still do it when there is a threat of precipitation...

I'm sure that it isn't good for the car. Rubber seals shrink and stuff like that. But I get mad if I take mine out and something happens to it. Seems like every other time I take it out, someone puts a dent in it. 😡 But also, I have two kids. I can't take trips in it because it's so modified. I don't want to hit a pothole and blow a tire and be on the side of the road with them. Once I had a problem with my air suspension and we ended up on the side of the road for a couple of hours fixing it. That is when I got a daily.

Our garage queens.
Im having the same problem i bought my ls to daily it and now that i bagged it and have done other mods im really falling in love with it and feel like its going into the route of being a car i barely want to drive and just keep it in the garage to prevent dings and dents.
I surely do bro like i love driving it but i hate putting miles on it but we will see becuase im also looking at picking up a 350z to drive around and beat on
Just changed out my rear brake pads not knowing how bad they might be since buying the car a week ago.
Guess they were not so bad after all. And changing out brake pads on this car has got to be the easiest
brake job I have ever done. It was more work jacking it up and getting jack stands set-up then the brake
work. I am old guy who remember brake jobs on them old drum brakes. They were a nightmare sometimes.
Just waiting now for my front rotors to arrive to get the front done.
Ordered these visors last week and they showed up today... sure wish my other stuff came through as promised. Still waiting for my headlights and grill womp womp womp
On Black Onyx 2006 with 135K miles: Replaced idler pulley, installed 2016 Navigation disc, replaced windshield wipers (refills), and new front brake pads (rear pads tomorrow).
For my Mercury Metallic 2006, had new Michelin snow tires mounted to new chrome wheels.
Dumb question but how hard is the idler pulley replace? Cost? I've got an obnoxious whine which increases with engine rpm. It would be great if its the pulley (rather than alternator bearings). Not the PS. No change in while if I move the steering wheel. I'll replace the serpentine belt while I'm at it. Thanks.

I seriously know what you mean, the LS430 is a very nice car. As mentioned, I've put nearly 6k on it since Oct. 1, which is too much. I checked and I have like 1,400 left on the 5k oil change I did.
But I tell myself it's a Toyota, miles are ok. Yet I still curb it everywhere I go, don't want to get a ding, hate noticing scratches that I didn't know about (I have never waxed it myself, because it was detailed when I bought it, so I can't be sure if a scratch was there or not before--I knew about 1 scratch and 2 dings when I bought it, there are no more dings, but more scratches it seems). I need to get rid of my Maxima as we have 4 cars (it's no longer registered) and I can't get the BMW out of the garage. But if I could, I would even drive the Maxima and put the miles and wear/tear on it, and turn my LS into garage queen #2!
I will admit I had to go up to Jersey City NJ twice for work, which is near the Holland Tunnel. Traffic is even worse now (multitudes) because a turnpike bridge is out. So the LS made the bad ride way more comfortable...
