I will start first...
Checked coolant level. There is coolant in the radiator but the reservoir was empty. I added distilled water for now. Will watch to see if there is a leak or just evaporation.
Radiator will be flushed and filled at 90 K.
manual swapped it with a diesel Beamer 6 speed trans

If you still have it, I am interested if the postage is not too much.

Sold mine off and bought a 2023 IS500 instead. Daughter is bored in the backseat without all the UL buttons to push.

I added a 2 mil UV blocking clear film to the side windows, front and back, on my '05 and my '98 LS400. With aid of a UV detection card I have, I discovered that the windshield is highly blocking of UV radiation in both cars, but the side windows (now with the previous dark tint removed) are not UV blocking to any significant degree. I did this to both preserve the interior and also keep the UV off my skin and the passenger too. Its completely clear and transparent, you would not know it was there. I also added this film to the garage windows as they get full sun every afternoon. I used buydecorativefilm.com 2mil clear film from Amazon. Had a bit leftover from a 2 foot by 24 foot roll to do the side windows in my truck too. Took about 3 hours to do everything.

Got some parts from Bell Lexus:

The transmission mount coating was flaking. Should I return it or it doesn't matter?

Transmission mount should be fine, especially in your climate. What's the mileage on the current unit and any plans to follow up with the engine mounts?

I'm at almost 89k. I wanted the get the mounts, but BL didn't have them anymore. So I'm going to order them from Amayama or another Japan site.

Wonder if they are NLA or if it's just a shortage? I quickly checked on Partsouq and neither engine mount is available...

Yes, same for both sides too. Partsouq was asking $164 a piece, $100 for the transmission mount.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/166867571578?

Seems like a great price and seller has good reviews. My car is super smooth at idle with 121k on it, but everything is 18 years old now that hasn't been replaced so proactively doing the mounts might be on my list once I get the brakes done.

That is a great price. I should probably return the one transmission mount from Bell Lexus and get this set.
I'm feeling some vibrations at idle. :/

A local shop that specializes on Lexus/Toyota said $795 OTD with me supplying the transmission mount and they supplying the OEM mounts.

I kinda want to try to do the transmission mount first since I have it already.

Got OEM brake rotors and pads installed all around. Somehow, some shop years ago had put aftermarket ones on my car, and they felt sketchy at highway speed. Spent $1406 including parts and tax -- had a very very good indie do it because I can't stand going to the dealer (and said dealer had quoted me $2400!!).

But holy cow does that car stop now!!! Perfectly modulated pedal and so easy to brake smoothly. Man, if you really step on the pedal, it's like having stakes driven into the ground!!! Stops right quick and without the slightest twitch. Have never had a bad experience with a genuine Lexus part.
