Seems like a great price and seller has good reviews. My car is super smooth at idle with 121k on it, but everything is 18 years old now that hasn't been replaced so proactively doing the mounts might be on my list once I get the brakes done.

Replaced the transmission mount over the weekend, much smoother at idle and over rough roads.

Rear calipers are going on the car tomorrow along with new OEM rotors and pads, OEM caliper bolts, 555 brand rear sway bar links, and a Denso reman alternator. Also having another drain and fill done on the transmission.
Place that did the calipers did a good job but it took almost two months, they forgot to rebuild them, and there were a few other minor issues. Sucks because I still have to do the fronts so I need to use them to make sure the color matches. Not a huge deal, just a frustration. Will post some pictures tomorrow when it's all done.

Rear calipers went together and were put on the car and wow, they look really good! I'm glad I picked red as opposed to black or gold, which were also considered.
Now to order the fronts and get those done. Overall, it was pretty expensive considering the cost of the calipers, the powder coating, new pads, rotors, bolts, and then the labor to install them.

Had to change the battery on my 180k 04 LS. You know you are getting old when you think "I don't think I bought it that long ago. It might still be under warranty." Then when you get to Autozone and ask they are like "No sir, you purchased it in October of 2016." lol
Duralast Gold. Almost 8 years ain't bad. Got another one just like it.

replaced the telescoping steering motor in my car using the info found here, here, and here. Lots of info in those links on replacing parts, replacing related parts, how the motors work, etc etc. One thing I did find in the thread here on Club Lexus is that the telescoping motor from an LX470 is the same motor with a slightly different harness attached to it. Swap the harnesses and it works fine. The LX470 part can usually be found a few bucks cheaper than either of the LS430 parts. Best prices seem to be on eBay from Japan or UAE or Amayama has a decent price as well. I ended up buying from eBay from a company that had a listing from UAE and they have another warehouse in California. So I got the LX470 motor for less than $200 brand new and shipped to me in a few days. I replaced the motor, the jack screw, the bushings, and did the tsb flex shaft undated to the little coupler with the boot. Here are the pics of everything.

Today is our LS430's 20th birthday (well, the nameplate just says made in 9/04). It's a 2005 Base/Premium model that has never spent a night indoors (we live in a really old house which unfortunately has no garage). Drives like a brand new car and so far has been as reliable as a Camry. It's just bone stock, nothing fancy. Driven daily, never babied. Never got in a crash; never even curbed a wheel. Always used OEM parts which are worth every penny. I feel that my dear wife is totally safe on board this amazing machine!

Well I encountered the hard downshift and I would have bet money my transmission was having issues. I searched here and found reports of the main engine ecu causing the issue. I was skeptical but symptoms matched mine. I found several local places in Atlanta that did the rebuild work and went with a guy on eBay nearby. https://www.ebay.com/itm/116157858115 He repaired and met me to return. I would have lost money as it fixed my shift issues.

Pole Position
Not today but Thursday last week, replaced the battery. The Interstate 24F was installed in 2017 so got a lot of service. The new Interstate 24F has a 36 month warranty.
After the install, the nav system defaulted to the East Coast (easily adjusted). Got a splash screen in Japanese and a “System updating” message that took a while to subside. The Climate control system made some buzzing noises at start up a few times.
All settled in now and working as normal. Feels like the car likes a fresh, strong battery 😀.
