Sat., I did an oil change at 6,600 (I have settled upon 6500), and also replaced the air filter which has been in the car about 14,500--I checked it last Oct. and it was clean, so I left it alone. Like the oil filter, I use WIX....interestingly, what came out and installed by the new car dealer who sold me the car, is also a WIX.....wouldn't you know that yesterday we go to a soccer tournament and drive on dusty gravel parking lots by the fields...DOH!

Correct. They fade away just like the stock halogens do.

From last night, took advantage of the NorCal swing that Don Nguyen makes once or twice a year. He provides chrome blackout, taillight tinting, among other services. With the black front grille, decided to go black on the badging on the tail.... Here are a group of before and after pictures..... Purely a personal preference choice......

Default Fitted the Colgan Bra

Posted the pix under a thread regarding these Colgans here. Also the Installation procedures I ran into.

The only downside is that now it is nearly impossible to see the nicely painted and cleaned grill I detailed a few weeks ago.... Ah well, Progress.

Don does some impressive work. Did he use vinyl on the emblems.

We dropped off the car and did not see the actual application but it is my understanding he uses a "plasti-dip" process and does it right on the car without having to remove the emblems. The strip above the license plate is vinyl. And, it is covered up but, I replaced the previous chrome license plate wrap with matte black finish model.

Don has impressive skills for sure...

How are you doing on getting to your pictures of your trunk?

I tried to install a LED relay to stop my LED turn signals from "hyper flashing". I ordered error free can bus ones that does not need resistors, but it still needs them after talking to the company. Tried pulling the driver junction box(fuse box) to get to the flasher relay but it was a PITA. After fighting with it for a couple hours I decided to leave it alone before I break something. I think I will just have to get resistors and install them to stop the hyper flashing. LEDs look great and are super bright.

I replaced the upper control arms with ones from Beck Arnley (1026671 & 1026672) as well as lower ball joints from also BA (1017676 & 1017677). They fit well and look to be of good quality given the price over OEM. Parts are made in Taiwan.

My Telescoping Tilt function of the steering wheel didn't work so I open it up under the steering wheel just so I could manually turn the motor so far it did go, as I am the only one who drives the car... Guess what, it then worked again when I pushed the button.
Of course it probably gonna break again later on, so I must quickly to the dealer so they can shut off the automatic tilt function.

Or, just replace the motor and fix if for real.

Good source for motor? My Lex dealer SA says he can't get them.

went over my new purchase today. cleaned up spiderwebs underneath the car, checked my caster bushings, drivers side is shot. Found a nice oil leak - appears to be pass side valve cover leaking. and polished up both of my headlights. Im starting to like this thing!
