I was quite surprised with the fitment of these for being as cheap as they are.

Yesterday I found some time to add extra protection shiny layer to my OEM wheels. Can’t be more happy with results. It feels great when water and dust just don’t adhere to surface at all.

What did you use to do that? I'm interested in that finish.

Glad you are interested. The only way to create a true mirror on this aluminum wheels is to sand the surface and utilize angle grinder with buffing wheel. Not an easy job, but now I kind of became an expert in it, so feel free to ask me for specific steps if you decide to proceed with this DIY shine project.

Well late yesterday I had to clean all the artillery fungus spores off the entire front end, hood, roof, windshield. It totally survived going through the car wash. I was like wth? Where did I get all these black dots (moonlight pearl so easily seen)?

Today as I walked in to work, I glanced over at where I had parked. DOH!! it's near a flagpole and the entire area is mulched. Just mentioned it to a colleague (cuz I parked next to him yesterday) and he said he never noticed, but his car is dark colored....

Mulch is nasty--now I know I have to not park near it. But, I left her at home this AM and took the BMW to work! Wifey will have it today (get ready for 14 mpg!)....

Wow the picture quality.
What ever, now I have some deep bass in the car. 2 rockford P3 + 1000 rms amp... Pounding really good actually and it sounds sweet!
Im glad I didnt bother change the blown original sub..
Only problem now is the trunk rattle... But you just hear that from outside the car. Maybe I add some dampening, maybe helps.

Here is also a video:

I changed the power steering fluid, propably still original, as it was black and smelly, when it should be clear and red. Now it´s done, 30 mins and 6 euros, I wonder, why this is not included in the annual service, as it seems every Toyota-related vehicle I have owned, has the same issue.

Finally tried using a dash cam, got one on amazon for $55 wifi 1080p blah blah blah. Took it on a road trip yesterday to get used to it (imagine with a 32gb micro sd stores 5.x hours at 1080p 30fps).

Took me all of 12 min. into my commute to have a noteworthy incident. It's crazy (Philly--I feel like there is at times a lack of humility--wanna know the context? A Audi A6 driver continually honking at me, a green where we're turning left, a red where we're turning right, but he wants me to beat the car that was coming--got behind him to capture him). This doesn't actually tend to happen with my BMW nor my wife's SUV. I think there is a general assumption that a LS430 driver is slow?

Currently in the process of swapping out as many of the cabin bulbs to neutral white LED's as I can. May pass on the airbag however since it seems like i have to pull the bag itself out to get to the radio buttons. Anyway, here are some shots at night:

Wanting to do the radio and GPS/Screen buttons but it's more involved since the OEM bulbs are actually incandescent instead of LED's. They pump out about 9 or so volts per bulb unloaded so i'll have to use some SMD resistors next to the SMD LED's when i solder them in.

It "is" included in some regular service, as mine has it on the carfax and was done 2X prior to my getting it at 81k. But Lexus scheduled service is old school where virtually everything is check this, check that, etc.

That is the method of removing the old fluid out of the reservoir and replacing it. Looks like he is using a manual transfer pump but I typically use a $5 turkey baster from somewhere like Walmart. Suck out as much fluid as you can and put it in a container you can take to have recycled, fill the reservoir with new fluid to the correct level and you're done. If you haven't done it in a long time or don't have any record that it was ever done before you might want to repeat the process a few times after maybe 50 - 100 miles in between each interval. Then add that maintenance as part of your oil change service and you should be good.
