Yes, I meant two filters.

Traffic was bad due to rain, so I enjoyed how smooth the car is, and I really love the rain sensing wipers--they seem to work well, and I think the one extra sweep if the washer is hit or the switching off of low is really cool....

Just broke out the manual because I didn’t fully understand them (quite a bit different from my old bmw..) - first Lexus and just got it a few weeks ago.

I had assumed their wasn’t a way to manually do a wipe without going into Low from Auto, now I know to pull it towards me and then I’ll see this well talked about extra wipe after. I also apparently have it set on the lowest sensitivity setting while I thought it was the highest (don’t ask me why). Can’t wait to play with it in a few days when it rains again, missed out today and yesterday.

Default Almost telepathic

I love love love the rain sensing wipers. I first got the car I would literally reaching for the wipers were speeding up at that moment. Very impressive.
We get more than our fair share of rain here. Great wipers. I have noticed one thing, where the options in my car kinda fight each other. I got the LS 430 where the previous owner said Options? I'll take all of them.

The radar cruise will turn itself off automatically via the automatic wipers. It does beep to tell you. It's an alleged safety feature.
Not supposed to use the cruise when the weather is bad.

I will start first...
Checked coolant level. There is coolant in the radiator but the reservoir was empty. I added distilled water for now. Will watch to see if there is a leak or just evaporation.
Radiator will be flushed and filled at 90 K.
Replaced both front and rear drivers side power door lock motors. Replaced breather tube on passenger’s side valve cover. To replace driver’s side VVTI oil control valve.

Today did my first DIY oil, oil filter & air filter change on the LS. Easy enough with ramps, but that oil filter flap folds the wrong way.
Also my 6 litre oil drain tray is ONLY JUST big enough. Time to buy an 8 or 10 litre one methinks.

BigBoomer,

Good job on the DIY, I'll mention, I find it easier to just pull down all the plastic, which also allows an inspection peek around the underside while you're already under there.

Today, I found the suspension height adjustment on the RR was actually loose and sliding within the adjustment slot even though it looked rusted into position.. I tried to loosen the nut off but was so corroded that the bolt broke off. Got it zip tied into place for now til I can get a new part for it. The Lexus lean is now gone so that's a win!

Not Today, but Friday I replaced the both blown front door speakers with new JBL 2 ways in 4ohms...man she sounds so much better!

Took my daughter home to her mom's house 30 miles away and what was usually a full quarter tank of gas trip in my GS was a half a quarter tank of gas in this couch on wheels..

Only had her a week and I'm totally in love with this car.

Definitely it did. Alignment is off though, might have damage to the suspension. Hopefully it doesn't get totaled, again!

I discovered that now my RF tire is leaking 1 psi per 4 days. Bet it's another bead leak. Guess I picked a good year to get a 20V portable inflator. The other rim was 7 psi per day--obviously that's not really manageable, but I'm hoping this one is...
