Opinions on possible LS430 purchase part deux
Greg S had such a great response to his inquiry a few days ago, so I thought I would ask this fantastic and helpful group of owners and contributors.
I've been looking for a 2004-2006 non-UL for about 7 months with no luck. I'm in the $18k range but can go to $20K for the right car. I feel like I'm not seeing many reasonable specimens out there (MD/VA/DC) but I have been eyeing this one for the last 5 months and I'm not seeing why this hasn't sold:

It *looks* good to me. I'm going to go and drive it today to make sure it doesn't have a wooden wheel, etc. Does anyone see something that I might be overlooking (minus lack of carfax reported service records)?
Thanks in advance to all and happy hump day.

Price seems a bit high and why is it at this little dealer... Where did it come from and why did he get it?
I'd make sure no accidents/body work on it... all vin stickers on all doors, fenders and hood/trunk.
Looks clean from the pics... have you put the vin number into lexus.com to see what service history is?
I generally try to buy directly from individuals (cheaper price) or from lexus dealer (certified)....

It does look clean. I think if everything checks out with service history and whatnot that this might be a good one to go after. I agree with Legender that the price might be just a tad high, but nothing out of reason. They should be willing to take 16,500-17,000 for it probably, and that is what I would expect to pay for a well maintained specimen all day. I've seen 2 cars at my dealership in the 05-06 year range go for 17,900 and 16,300 lately, both had around 90-100,000 miles, and one was a rare non navigation, and the other didn't have those excellent 5 spoke wheels. I would jump on this if the car is as promised.

i was looking at this car when it was first listed. the dealer is near me off of east gude in rockville, its over priced and no navigation. Ive been looking for a while and checked out most in the area, i heard the dealership is a legit dealer.

they have an o4 black custom luxury at browns toyota in glen burnie with 62k. i check it out this past weekend. its listed for 17,895 and they had it about 90 days. car looks pretty good, back bumpers has been resprayed and looks crappy but overall it seems nice. Not many records in it since 06. Tires are from 06 also and seem new.

You folks absolutely rock - thank you Legender, 2GS, gooshster and dapimpee.
I'm going to sound really picky but I've developed a crush on the black interior, but it's not a deal breaker. I'm almost leaning away from Navigation because I'm thinking (in my head) that I could more easily replace the head-unit and speakers, but I would probably miss the backup camera and some other functionality. I'm moving from a 1997 Jeep Cherokee 4.0 5-speed so I've only been spoiled by a great motor and heated side view mirrors thus far ;-)
I'll keep on keepin' on and checking Clist and some other avenues. I'm on Autotrader, Cars, autogurus and Carmax daily so I'm hoping a peach shows up somewhere. I'm not going to be too upset if I overpay a bit but I do appreciate your thoughts on this one being more expensive than it probably should be.
If you folks think the navi packages are the way to go to get the most out of the car, I will definitely take that into account too. I'm a "the-less-moving-parts-the-better-off" kind of guy so I'm sure I'll be happy with a machine that runs well and is quiet enough to listen to the radio below reference levels.....that's definitely a Jeep thing.
Thanks again all

and they have a flint mica at capital cadilac 06 90k with black interior
navigation is better for resale, and the other options like bluetooth and backup cam, i know most if not all of the lease cars in florida are ordered without navigation

Looks like it had it's 5K service done on Lex-dot-com and that's it. At least that was done I suppose! Thanks for the tips on inspection as well. I'll try and let everyone know how it goes.

I found it...but mileage is too high for me personally to be just starting out my ownership with the car. Maybe it will interest Jason...

Pretty car on the outside. If she was closer I would definitely entertain that. Thanks for the lead and website
