2004 LS430 : oem Led brake lights repairable ?
Read all the threads on this but it appears that no one has sucessfully repaired the original LEDs. I've got a few individual LEDs dead and a block of about 8 that intermittently flicker together. Before I buy the expensive assemblies I thought I'd bring this topic up again:
Has anyone tried to open the tail light assemblies and replaced individual LEDs?

What do you have to lose by trying to fix it. Someone has to be first.
Worst case you'll have to buy new, which is what you're on verge of now.
Considering their purported long life, my guess is that the LEDs themselves are fine,
and what you'll find is mechanical failure - as in bad solder joint or corroded circuit board.
Good Luck !!
