Climate control fan

Climate control fan
I just developed an issue with the climate control fan. WhIle I was driving today, my AC suddenly stopped blowing through the vents. The compressor is engaged and is also putting out cold air, but I am not getting air through the vents even though the blower motor is running. I pulled the air filter and could feel the air moving through the opening.
I have been hearing strange noises for the past several months when I start and shut off the car. It seemed like the diverter was trying to operate, but was stuck or something. After a minute or so the noise would stop. I never worried about it because everything was working fine with the climate control, until today.
I ran the diagnostic on the AC and the only code I got was "21: solar sensor". Obviously that should not affect the diverter. Any suggestions?
Also, how hard is it to get to the diverter and where is it located?
Thanks for the help.

There is a stepper motor that controls the airflow. Sounds like it has failed. If you tested in a dark area or garage you get a false solar code, so I have read. Dash has to come out.

nooooooo
Thanks for the reply.
I really don't want to take the dash off. Do you know where the motor is located exactly? any chance I can get to it through the center stack?
Also, the accumulator was iced up when it wasn't working, I don't think that should reduce fan output, but maybe?
After the car sat for a few hours, the AC is now working fine. I just don't know how long this will last. I don't want this problem to come back this summer when I take the kids to Walley World..

Air-mix servo is the correct term I believe. But you may want to see if the part actually fully fails so you can know for sure. There are 8 of them in there.
