89k, possibly 300k, usually up here rust kills things before that happens, but this car was in FLA for 8 years of its life....I think the reason most people don't like this car is fuel consumption. Dunno if we ever did get $5 gas like they have in Canada, the 19-20 mpg avg. may get old....but if not, probably keep it forever. I've never disposed of any car yet in my lifetime, i.e. cars that cost more than $2000.....

I agree on CR, they are purely subjective, even though they claim to be scientific, they are not. Can you imagine if CR rated drugs? People would be in a world of hurt (drugs of all things, the trials are totally scientific, reliable and valid). When the latest VW GTI came out, every automotive authority loved it. CR slammed it.

Unrelated to cars, we purchased the #1 bagless vacuum they recommended...yep, broke in a matter of months. that's when the lightbulb turned on...

97k miles, had it since 13k miles on it buying it used and 3 years old. Plan to keep for next 10 years at least or until plug in electric hybrids are luxurious, safe, reliable and completely pervasive and gas gets hard to find. Right now I would not feel comfortable driving in a car with 1,000+ lbs of lithium ion batteries under me. Take a look at what happens when high energy batteries used in today's electric and hybrid cars are accidentally damaged/punctured....intense heat, big flames followed by big boom.

First one I sold at 200 k but I relly like the Sport Susp and this one with 160k now will drive er till I get a self driving car so my trips skiing are not so hard coming back. This one had 4 years in Texas and rust really is not a big deal on these. Next t belt will do tensioners and seals etc. and good to 300 k. My LS handles as well as I want it to within the realms of the speed limit and I sport shift alot so its kind of fun, gets like 23 mpg all day long think about a newer used car but its a a quick thought. Wish it was Cherry like Jabs

When I got my car in Oct. and there was no coolant in the reservoir, I said oh wow, I got burned, they sold me a car with blown head gaskets, well, it has a 2 mo./2k miles warranty by law....but it turns out I guess that is typical that people don't check it based on that plastic intake having to come off and being super long life coolant...I think that in reality, since these cars were fairly high quality, all of our cars should be very similar, meaning they were manufactured to reasonably tight tolerances. So if our cars go 250k, it wasn't that we took really good care of them, it was more the way they were built....imho these cars do 200k easily, but I have a ways to go myself being at 89k...

Up to 126K miles now. Been a dream to own and drive. Still not regretting, for even one second, dumping the 2010 460L and going back to a 430. Fantastic decision. 460L was the worst automotive mistake of my life. And I've owned some bad cars.

I would agree here. With all the stress and chaos one can have in their lives, it's nice to be able to have a car that you really don't have to think too much about. I bought my 2001 with 104K on it 2 years ago and I'm now at 152K. The car is a dream to drive and easy to own. I'd love to see 300K on the odometer, and with my commute being 95% freeway I'm pretty confident that I'll make it with no problems...

I've owned my 2004 for one week as of today and we just ticked past 45,000. With the amount of miles we put on our cars, we might hit 120,000 by the time the car is ready to hand over to my 3-year old.

picked mine up 4 years ago for $18,000 with 72,000 miles. almost at 124,000 today and this is the 1st car I have paid off and not been sick of. I could see myself keeping another 4 years easy. lucky to have a good Lexus dealer near by. will continue to have it serviced there as long as they will let me. mirrors and steering wheel do their thing every time I start her up. original everything except timing belt, water pump and spark plugs.

Owned for over 7 years when it was purchsed with 98,000 miles. 128,700 miles now. I have spent quite a few bucks on keeping this lovely car going Best money I have ever spent. Yes, it is not cheap to repair or maintain... but what a great quality car! I currently have a few issues happening but I plan on dealing with them and doing the best to keep this car going. I know anything else this vintage or even newer might be a disappointment and/or will have issues of their own. I'm dong my best to hold on. Miles expected? Way more than I'll be alive for sure! ......(Senior Citizen)

Just rolled 100k on my 2005 today. Owned 4 years. Spent a few grand on the usual stuff for suspension, mirrors, steering motors etc. Car has never left me stranded and has been great. Still turns heads when its got a fresh wash and wax. Its paid off so id like to drive it to 200k.

Mine ticked over 222,000 kilometres the other week, and I'm a little bit abusive on it, but it takes it like a champ. It gets the servicing it needs though. I'm undecided if I'm going to sell it or keep it as I need funds to overhaul my daily driver ST190 Corona and to replace the 50 year old Kiekhaefer Mercury outboard on the back of my boat
