Default 2004 LS430 side mirror

Hello. I have an odd issue with my right side (passenger side) mirror. 2 days ago it was not folding, took to my trusty guy and repaired it by fabricating a new gear. Tilt issue was solved. Now today I I tried to adjust the mirror itself from the driver side control switch, right and left movements were fine but when pressed up on the switch the mirror moved down and when pressed down it mived up

How could this happen? Is it a programming issue?

Also when moved the gear shifter to reverse the mirror moved up (opposite to what it used to do) but this ttime continued moving up till it started ticking (non stop). Something weird is happening and wish that someone could help.

Thank you for reading.

(the driver left side mirror is working perfectly)

Sire. Would you like your mirror sir?

You wired it wrong. Reverse up and down connections. If not that the switch itself is probably bad.

Hello you mean the switch? Which wires were reversed? I didn't fiddle with the switch wiring. Also the mirror side connector wiring were as they are.

The wires are inside the mirror housing. To get to the wires, manually tilt the mirror glass up (pointing towards the sky) and use a flat-head screw driver to pry the mirror glass away from the mounting bracket.

Step 1 - Remove the screw that holds the white mounting bracket.
Step 2 - Remove the 4 screws that holds the front (mirror side) plastic cover, then pinch the 3 white plastic retainers that hold the back cover.

Step 3 - On the back, you will see 2 electrical connectors. The one for the up/down motor has a white and a black wires, and the right/left motor has a red and a black wires. Unplug the up/down connector.
Step 4 - Rotate and plug back in in reversed order.

Here's a youtube video on how to take the mirror housing apart. It's done on a different Lexus (IS250), but you'll get the idea.
