Price for 2001 LS430? 80k
Hi Everyone,
First time post here but need some help please
Someone I know is selling a 2001 LS430 loaded with nav and ultra luxury package and asking $10,500. Seems a bit pricey to me. What do you think? What would be a fair price for the car?
Timing belt has not been replaced and I would need to do that immediately I think considering age.
Current owner is the 2nd owner and has owned for the last 12 years. Carfax looks clean and I can see it was serviced at 45k and a tranny fluid change done at the dealer and a 60k service was done as well.
What do you think is a fair price? Thanks in advance

Thanks for the feedback on price.
I'm having some second thoughts though on the ultra luxury package as it appears to have the air suspension. I plan on keeping this car a long time and I don't want to deal with replacing the expensive air suspension parts.

Thanks for your replies guys. He wasn't interested in anything below $10k. Car looks to be in nice shape by the pics but who knows? One thing I discovered very quickly while looking at cars on Craigslist...Pics don't tell the whole story and can be deceiving & more importantly...Every private party seller on Craigslist thinks their car is in excellent condition. Most aren't!
Car is about 3 hours away and I wasn't going to drive that distance to even look at it unless we were in the same ballpark on pricing & condition. Already been down that road with a dishonest seller.
Oh well, he can hold onto it and keep posting it on Craigslist again. He's been listing it on there for a month. Every day he holds onto it, it's worth a little bit less.
I'll keep searching.

I hear ya on craigslist. Drove 2 plus hours for a Custom Luxury with pictures in the rain. Kids name was carved in the leather of the backseat in 2 inch letters. Guy owned a quarry car was shot. I called his mechanic and he prolly did not lie but the body, the dash, the interior was like in a sandstorm. If it is too good of a deal is prolly is. It was a hillbilly dealership dudes with no teeth, did I rip em a new @#$% and hit the road. Upside the area was on the Mississippi, felt like I was in Mark Twains back yard in LaCrosse, WI.
