Hello,

Glad to be joining this community next month! I love everything about the '03 LS430 except the wheels. The chrome wheels look too much like hubcaps for my taste. But I want a soft ride and want to stick with 17s.

My question is whether the BBS SR wheels will fit. Been googling for a few hours and I haven't seen any info stating definitively if they will fit. I'm worried about the front brake calipers possibly being too large for them. I am sure the 7.5 width will be ok. The 17"x7.5, 5x114.3 wheels also have a 42mm offset vs the stock 35mm, and I'm not sure that will work. (newbie) I am open to adding spacers, but not changing the brakes.

When I tried the BBS configurator at bbs.com, no options came up at all for the 03 LS430... I also haven't seen any photos of BBS SR wheels on any Lexus models.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am pretty sure the stock LS430 wheel offset is + 45.

I'd be surprised if they fit, not many aftermarket 17s do. I know because have 2 sets and it was hard to find them. Most hit the front brake caliper.

If the stock offset on the LS430 is 35, and the wheels are 42 then you would need spacers to get them to at least 35.

The only other thing you would probably need to look out for is the hub bore (which is 60.1 on the LS430), but that can probably be overcome with hub centric rings.

Thanks for the replies! I'll definitely give BBS a call. Since my original post I've found 2 sites that say that these wheels will fit on a 03 LS430. Gives me some hope

The only thing you need to be aware of, or to make sure of, is that the wheels you choose must have a high disk face in order to clear the front calipers. The widths and offsets you mentioned will all be a non-issue unless you're looking for a certain type of rim fitment.

Welcome to CL. Those wheels look really good, they remind of the Z06 corvette.

But 17? C'mon..
I'd love to get that rim in 19's.

Yeah I'm not even sure 17s will fit. On the BBS USA site, the 18x8s come up as a match.

A 17 inch rim was made for the previous first gen 01-03 LS430, 1st and 2nd gen are identical in calipers and wheel diameter and area, so fitting it in your car should be no problem at all. You just need the right tire size to go with it.
