Default My 2005 LS430 arrived today

I bought this car in Florida, and had it shipped to MI ... Just got here this morning.
It is a 2005 with 41650 miles, and I purchased it for $16,800.
This is my 3rd Lexus - I have owned a 1997 LX450, and a 2001 LX470 - had great experiences with both those vehicles. I had thought about getting another 470, but wanted to try a car this time.
Drove it some today - and it's awesome!

Congrats on the purchase. Rust free and low mileage... What more can you ask for?? Good service history on it?

thanks - Yes, it is clean - exterior looks great, and interior is immaculate .
The service history looks ok - but I think the (only) owner might have had service or oil changes done at a non dealer shop - because oil changes don't show up on the Carfax Report. I spoke to my local dealer here, and they had told me that they were showing the 90k service was done at 39k miles, which also showed up on the CarFax. I bought the car from Ed Morse Cadillac in Delray Beach, FL.

I just found out about the My Lexus site - and on there it is showing the 90k was recommended, but doesn't say it was done?

Dealer Reported 08/09/2013 Lexus of Palm Beach 39806 0755692 RECOMMENDED SERVICE - 90K SERVICE - RECOMMENDED SERVICE - 90K SERVICE - 39806 RECOMMEND REPLACING TIMING BELT, WATER PUMP AND ENGINE SEALS, COOLANT, FRONT BRAKE JOB, THROTTLE BODY/FUEL INJECTOR CLEANING

Usually you can contact the dealer and they can send you service history documents.

My guess is that they recommended it but owner didn't do it. He may have gone some place else to have the work done. But to be sure, call the dealership.

I got records from the dealership and from the lexux.com website. Much easier for me to read and understand the website info.

By the way, I just got my 2005 LS430 from Jacksonville. Drove from VA to FL in a one way rental.

Thanks - Yes, that makes sense, appreciate the help.

That's awesome! That must have been a fun trip - even if just to get out of the cold for a day
Congrats on your new car ~!

67, Congrats to You!

My only problem was a $200 Careless Operation of Vehicle fine for going 54 in a 35 in Society Hill, SC. Neither me nor my passenger saw the 35 mph sign. Went online and looked it up and yep, it is what I thought it was. Speed trap. Check it out. 700 people and 7 officers. Check out their revenue from traffic citations. We did not go back that way.
