Sup club lexus, i just picked up a 2001 lexus 430 today wondering if yall can help me out.

-I can open the trunk manually with the key.
-trunk lock is not pressed
-can't open the trunk from the inside from the trunk button
-i can't open it from the key either. i hear a beep and click but it doesnt open

I've already searched and google far and wide, i just havn't found a solution or a similar problem as mine.

Do you have an owners manual? If so, reference it so you can check the fuse for the trunk lock. If fuse is fine then the automatic lock has probably failed and needs to be replaced.

So i figured out it was the "luggage closer switch" which lexus calls it.

I tried searching ebay to see if they have any... and there aren't any.

Does anyone know where i can source one besides the stealership?

I have a feeling the lack of response means the trunk lock was on.
