Hey nothing wrong with owning two Lexus vehicles. (So long as the wife doesn't mind!)

The wife thought I was crazy at first and I convinced her by telling her that the 430 will eventually be the car for our daughter when she can drive in a couple of years. I told her that nothing is safer than a big flagship luxury sedan.

Anyways, now my wife loves the 430 and said I should get rid of the 460. I still love my 460, it drives beautifully and still makes me feel special driving it. The funny thing is people notice my 430 more than when I'm driving the 460. Maybe it's the color of the 430 or the fact that the 430 stands out against all the modern designs. The 430 has that classic boxy luxury look that always look expensive. Anyways, I am planning on keeping both cars for a long time.

Great choice, bsl888!

I've always loved that Flint Mica color. In fact, I may have ended up with that myself had I been able to find one with an almond interior.

The more I read people's validated opinions on the overall characteristics and quality of the LS430 above other makes and models in the lux segment, the more I am inclined to hold onto mine for life. I've already decided to make my 22yr old SC into my own '57 Chevy type restoration project. You know, something to work on in retirement and cruise around in as my own 'classic car' for decades to come.

That is brilliant. I'm gonna have to try that on my wife. Oh wait, we don't have a daughter. Never mind!

My perspective on this - I bought a cheap LS430 just as a toy a couple months ago and now it's my primary driver which I thoroughly enjoy driving. Congrats on the purchase!

Yes yes.... We happened to meet a friend in the parking lot. She complimented our 04 LS (15 yr old car!) and said something like this look expensive. She was asking if it was a Benz (ha... Benz do not look this good after 15 years!).

Did the exact same thing. bought a "cheap" beater LS430 to just use as a daily driver, and now it's my favorite car ever.

Same question: mind sharing your purchase details (year, miles, package, purchase price). I'm toying with the same idea now ...

Small piece of oxidation on front hood. Interior driver seat has a few peeling issues but no holes.
Was well taken care of, not every record but majority...about 80%
