Leather Damage from my Dealer

Leather Damage from my Dealer
A tech at my beloved dealer damaged some leather on my UL. I had the front pads replaced, rotors turned, and adjusted my parking brake. When the tech was adjusting the parking brake I believe he put his boot into the leather on the side pillar. Anyway, does anyone know if this leather on the side pillar is different on a UL or is it standard? Dealer says they will replace it for me but I want to make sure they are getting the right part. At least they have good customer service.

Could be that too Tom. Either way, I was kind of shocked to see it this morning. I did not notice it when I picked up the car but man. Really did a number that piece.
Edit: Found the part. $135 That's not too bad but also no reason I should have to pay for it myself.

that trim is along the seatback door right? How did he boot that area? Bruce Lee flying side kick into the car and missed? Glad that dealer is fixing the piece. I'm sure the trims were not semi analine leather even if you had that option for the seating areas. To me, the way that material is cut and bunched like that, and being $135, I'm almost thinking it's pleather than leather.

I think you are right. After examination and the price I don't think it is real leather.
I was thinking it was a boot because they adjusted the parking brake cable and maybe he tried to lie on his back looking under the dash and pressed his boot into that area. Could of been a tool belt just as Tom mentioned too. It is a bit disappointing that nothing was mentioned. Hard to believe the tech would not have known he did that.

DARN... PLEATHER !!!
I can see how the tech might not have noticed he did that. What I don't understand is what position he would have had to have been in to even kick that part, or rip it with a tool.
