LS 430 Emergency Flashers start on their own

LS 430 Emergency Flashers start on their own
My emergency flasher came on while the car was off and out in the drive. Would not turn off with button. Removed battery cable and came back on. Left the car overnight with battery cable off and finally turned off.
Anyone have this problem and if so, what is the fix?

Emergency Flashers - water unlikely cause
Water never been a problem previously- we have had plenty over the years. Verified no moisture in or around any interior area of the car.
