You know that ain't a comparison, right?

There's a difference between driving a high luxury car, that was over-engineered at every aspect you may think of, and places you haven't even considered.

The market may bring these values together and show them as equals, but there is a big, big difference I tell you.

Took my car to get an appraisal at my local Lexus dealership in order to qualify for a $200 Coupon off the struts I was getting replaced. They appraised my 2001 LS430 with 120,000 miles for $7200. I'm certain they would be putting it on their lot for $9800. Although I'm not selling this sounds good to me as I would price it close to $9,000-$9500 (to sell privately) myself considering it is an all original, no paintwork flawless car. The early LS430s are a great value due to most of the depreciation already is priced in. I paid over 5 years ago $11,800 with some repairs but nothing super expensive. No plans on selling as I love this car.

Hey folks, let's not stimulate demand for the LS which will cause prices to go up

My son who drives a really clean low mileage 2010 Honda Civic, drove my 2006 LS 430 yesterday and could not believe how nice the ride was including how it handled and accelerated. I think he fell in love for the first time... I told him the car is priceless. LOL.

Everyone loves the ride, but only the loyal owners don't mind filling it up at the station.

I personally think the gas mileage is amazing. I'm getting an honest 24mpg with my 01 LS430, which is is exactly the same as the car it replaced, a 97 SC300. And the LS is faster!
