You will get all kinds of answers....lots of variances here......like what area do u live in....but beyond the variances.....the price in my market is right on for a clean 430......that might seem like a lot of coin for a car w 80k on it....but the car was $60K brand new.....and I guarantee that car drives like new with only 80k on it. Prob is u can add 2 k to that price.....tax tags etc pay the man plus timing belt and water pump service is approx $1300...........If u can afford just under 20k for a nice used car......go for it......these cars are beasts!!!

of course JBP as everyone would tell u .....google common issues w 2006 ls430 so u know what to check for pre purchase.....a couple of items are

Make sure all door actuators work
turn up stereo loud to listed for blown speakers
check steering wheel for telescope and tilt functions
check to see mirror switch works
check console lid to see if snug
check rear window screen up and down...
check coolant over flow container level
especially check for a low speed shifting lurch.....TSB on this
Check headlight aim and that headlight swivel function works
hood shocks...trunk shocks

your buddies car has 300k on it......ask him what to look for

I just purchased a 2006 ls430 with 50k miles for 18,500. The asking price on the one you're looking at seems quite fair. I just sold my 06 ls430 which had 172k miles for 11k. I simply wanted one with lower miles and was accident free. I was in an accident with my old which also prompted my desire to sell it. I choose 430 over 460 also because it has a better turn radius. You will love it.

I couldn't believe it, almost seems even better than my past 03 ES300.

Back on the subject, price seems fair but like others have said, plan on changing the timing belt, water pump (gives you fresh antifreeze), and serpentine belt right away and "include" that as part of your budget buying the car, and you'll have peace of mind for a long time! Good cars.

Price seems fair.. but not awesome. Always get them checked out to make sure you're not getting someone else's problems. At that price I'd expect all the maintenance to be up to date and records available at Lexus.

Any Lexus dealer will inspect the entire car for something like $129. If something falls out of normal you can negotiate the price with the information gained.

They will probably find something

decent price and it might even be a good price depending on condition. Just bought an '05 UL with 65k miles, very good condition, $16k even.
