How much is a 2004 model worth in current market?

So I bit the bullet and had the timing belt replaced recently at Lexus to aid in selling the car. Cost me almost $500 but the water pump was left in to save some cash. It looked good though. I even took a pic while it was in the shop just for my own reference. The old belt is pictured, likely the same belt from around 100k. It probably wouldn't have snapped but safer is better.
Replacing the timing belt seemed to have done the trick in selling the car (along with a price decrease) I'll be letting her go for $8100 today to a gentleman that lives a few hours away. Far less than I would have liked but you win some and you lose some.

Oops! By 'affordable' in my mind I was comparing it to the average price of brand new cars. Albeit different class vehicles.. I think it's 'safe money' since it has already depreciated.
So it looks like I still have the LS, the guy called me and said he found at 01' with 180k miles for $4400. On the plus side I'm still here with you guys lol.

When I sell something, it's for sale until there's cash in hand. I no longer "save" things for people or take an ad down. I've had a guy not show up at the bank to buy a car after a sale has been agreed upon and didn't even have the decency to make a phone call to say they changed their mind. My brother had a guy actually put money down on a car to "save" it and then the guy changed his mind, found one he liked better, and then demanded his earnest money back.
The 01-03 LS are the real bargains right now and it's 95% the same exact car as the 04-06. So if I was on a tight budget in the used market, I would go after those for almost half the price.
My advice is to just drive the car until the wheels fall off when you already have that kind of mileage.

I thought I had most of this stuff figured out, but I read on this forum somewhere that no sport suspension badge means no sport suspension. lots of cars have 18 inch wheels but don't claim sport suspension. I am still looking foreward to my 1st ride in a UL, CL or anything above my premium....got to be something that ML stereo. So how can I tell a real sport suspension from a poser with 18 inch wheels? just asking

Pole Position
has the badge plus 18s, it has thicker sway bars too. I ended up putting coilovers on it thought cuz one of the shocks went out. the car had about 70k miles on it. I bought it about 2 years ago an 05 black on black with less than 50k on it paid 23k . don't like the ls460s as much.

so.....UZ214 used to have sport suspension, but does not anymore because he replaced the special shocks....and Saleen says he has it, but has no badges....what? did the badges fall off? I believe he has the sport suspension, just asking

none of that is visable now is it....can you tell by the vin number? any other way? lots of cars have 18 inch wheels and no badges for sport suspension. I can add a sway bar to the rear as I don't believe I even have one but that would not make sport suspension now would it? rides stiffer and wears out tires faster I believe or is that all 18 inch rims?

check out the craigslist for washington dc area. Looks like a really nice black cherry '06 UL with only 38k miles, asking $18,500. Maintenance history is OK, no shocks changed. Its not a dealer sale, i bet they'd come down some. Not bad at all if you're looking for a low mile UL.

Just bought an 04 LS w/93k for 13k. Selling my 03LS. Had an 02LS before that. Probably get an 05 next time. Absolutely the best cars out there and I'm a dealer. 13k for a $60000 car that will go 250000 miles. Do the Math.
