Having driven it for a couple of weeks, I have no doubt that when it comes the bang for the buck, reliability, comfort and how I feel, nothing comes close. Even a quarter million bucks spend on a Bentley buys nothing even remotely close to the LS430, other than an abysmal, bottom of the list reliability and expense.

It's dark metallic gray with tinted windows. Last week, when I went to pick up my two granddaughters, 6 and 9, from their school, I felt like Danzel Washington, minus the gun. It was a good feeling with everybody else in the nondescript SUV's. LS430, no matter what some say, does stand out, even when next to its younger brother, which I could have bought easily but declined for its failure to look distinguish like a limo.

have always been curious how the LS compares to a mega buck car like a Bentley or Rolls.....has anyone actually rode in one, drove one.....?

Rode and drove around in my buddy's ghost..If you have the money, hands down v-spec all day. Ride is more comfortable, v-12 power, and an insane list of amenities.. My personal favorite being the steering wheel shaking when your "falling asleep" or swerving. RR definitely gets alot more looks and people seem to get out of your way (or follow insanely close to get a photo).

Huge difference in pricing, but if you could afford a RR, I'd scoop one up over the LS. For the money, the LS is hard to beat.

I have to say, LS430 is really damn good. I had one for 7+ years, an 02 Ultra. Traded it in on an ISF once it was over 200k miles but I'm wishing I would have just kept it for an extra car.

In the last few weeks I drove a 600hl, several LS460's, rwd, awd, up to 2013. Some will call me crazy but I thought none of them drove as well as my old 430, in terms of quietness and ride comfort.

Just to back it up I drove a local 06 LS430 and IMO, everything about it in terms of the drive is better than the 460. What stood out is the obviously dated navigation, otherwise just excellent.

I watched a YouTube start up and walk thru video of a brand new Phantom. I was kinda shocked when the guy adjusted the power steering column and it made a noticeable noise. You'd think it would be utterly silent like ours are, on a damn 450k Rolls, lol.
