Default New tires - bearing going out?

I have an 04 109,000 miles. My current tires werent bald, but less than great for winter.

I put some new all season tires on. Now at 60, I get a whirring. They re-balanced them for me. I still get a faint whirring. Is there a more definitive way to tell if its bad balance or a bearing. Let alone to tell which tire it is - I cant even tell what side the noise is coming from.

Any pointers or tall tales would be appreciated.

Whirring is not usually associated with tire balance. Bearings tend to be consistent noise and often change tone with wheel speed. What tires did you install? Did you align the car with the new set?

Jack it up and spin each wheel.... If it is a bearing you'll hear something.

You would think that anyone balancing tires would check, but I've watched my tire guys and they never bother.
