Diagnosing any problem is always the most time intensive. Thank god you don't have any electrical gremlins. I still would not be experimenting with changing parts without knowing with certainty where the noise is coming from. Recently I could have sworn a million times over that the front end creaking I was getting was coming from a front bushing somewhere and after a fair amount of searching (by Lexus) it turned out to be the right front shock! Go figure, and this thing really creaked up a storm. Good luck, but be sure before replacing parts.

I used some prothane bushing grease I had left over when I replaced my 240sx swaybar bushings to polyurethane bushings

No grease will permantly repair/fix your problem. You will need to find/diagnose the issue and then and only then fix/replace the part. Good luck.

Yea, I plan on replacing the swaybar bushings and endlinks pretty soon

I don't think it's the sway bar bushings as I went through two winters in GA with plenty of cold weather with no creaking on the OEM parts. Plus, these bushings are not greased from the factory. The links on the other hand have grease that I am sure wears or dries out after a number of years.

So, when I swapped my rims to the winter setup creaking went away. Go figure... Maybe the rims were over-torqued by the last shop that put them on. From now on I will be double checking all the lugs with my torque wrench.
