Exclamation 2004 LS430 drivers door lock inoperative

Hi All.
Just experienced one of the first things to go wrong with my LS, the drivers door lock died (not bad for 163k). I looked for the part in various places on the internet (eBay, amazon etc) and saw some motors "Car Door Lock Actuator for Mabuchi Motor Repair Lexus Toyota NEW" for sale, but none matched the LS430, nor could I find any YouTube videos showing one specifically for an LS replacement. Not sure if these even apply to the LS or does one have to order the entire assembly. Has anyone else had a similar issue and knows the best course of action?

These motors also power the folding mirrors.

Hi Everyone,
Just repaired my '04 LS430 drivers door lock actuator yesterday, and have some note tips for those about to dive in:
1) Do remove the key lock via the access port (black plug cover) it's easy and makes life simpler
2) Remove the large 6" x 5" black plastic piece (two silver bolts and sticky tape..just pull it) attached to the inside of the door behind the clear plastic sheet.
3) Remove both bolts for the window guide (it's impossible without doing this)
4) Be careful when taking off the door latch rod plastic retainer clip, easy to break it.
5) When replacing the actual motor I used alcohol to clean all all the grease from the actuator module or the glue would not stick. I used JB (quik) weld to glue it back on (JB weld is the only thing I have found that will permanently glue plastic)...knowing that it will not come off...ever.
6) When reassembling use a box under the inside door panel to relieve the stress on the electrical connectors.

Good luck all, time invested was well worth the money saved!

Thanks for that tip, I actually ordered the wrong motors (long shaft round) and will keep them for the mirrors.
