Default jack points

So I've done all the work on my car because every time someone touches my stuff I have another problem. It's a verifiable thing.

Since I've jacked my car up many times for brakes, wheel changes, tire rotations(I even pass on free rotations due to inept technicians), strut changes.. etc.. I just noticed that the points where I jack the car up are rusting and bending badly. I would say the car wasn't designed to be jacked there as many times as I have, and the salt watery roads are definitely increasing the deterioration..

Any ideas on reconditioning/rebuilding these jacking points?

Straighten them out and hit with paint.

I usually use a small piece of soft wood to protect the jacking point, but this will probably work much better.

Good advice. When bringing to a shop, they might just put the lift where ever it is convenient and you can end up with your floor pushed up or other damage.
