Default Weird Braking

I just had all my brake pads replaced and flushed the brake fluid on my 2004 UL with 151k miles. Before this job it exhibited a creeping behavior at stop lights where I would have to really push the brake pedal down in order to make sure the car was stopped. After I had this most recent brake job nothing has changed. The idle is normal in neutral, under 1k rpm. I almost hit a car in front of me today at a stop light when I leaned over to the passenger seat to grab my iPad and the car started creeping forward! Scared the crap out of me!

Also, when I release the brake pedal it makes a funny squeaking noise that I just noticed about a month or so ago...and only because my music was off. Any ideas what these issues could be???

Did theyb properly bleed your brakes all air out of the line also did you seat your brake pads?

Although less likely, you may have blow-by on the master brake cylinder.

I'd have the brake master cylinder/booster and all brake lines/hoses thoroughly checked.

For the noise: Did you install new rotors or have the existing ones resurfaced? Did you use a shim between the new brake pads and the caliper piston?

For the creeping forward: Based on your comment about pushing hard on the pedal to stop the car, suggest to check for leak at the vacuum line, the vacuum check valve, and the grommet to the brake booster.
Same rotors. Lexus wanted $1100 to do brakes and the flush which I politely declined, lol. I took it to my neighborhood mechanic and supplied him with OEM brake pads. No one said they needed to be resurfaced, although there are conflicting schools of thought I guess. Not sure on the shims. The creeping behavior and noise though are both identical from pre-and-post brake job. I will ask my guy about the vacuuming/grommet suggestions you gave. thanks.

During the winter I noticed my brake pedal squeaking when I would release the brakes as well. It was very noticeable in stop and go traffic. I'm not hearing it now that the temps have increased.

FYI...

Must be different than my squeak..i'm in sunny San Diego. It's more of like a wheezing actually.

The noise could be related to the master brake cylinder piston after taking your foot off the brake pedal. Is the brake fluid reservoir filled, or are you losing brake fluid?

No disrespect to your local mechanic, but you may want to search for a shop that specializes in performance cars and mods (especially ones that do BBK upgrades) and have them assess your situation.

No argument avoiding the dealerships; if not a performance shop then an independent that offers Lexus/Toyota services since word of mouth, good reviews, and reasonable prices drive their business. Yelp can be a good starting point.

Neighborhood mechanic...as in your neighbor that works out of his garage? Or a local shop?

I suspect a bad master cylinder for the pedal complaint.
