Does the 2001 model year come equipped with the indirect TPMS? I went to test drive one today and the owner had GS350 wheels on the car. I asked him if he ever had issues with the TPMS with the GS350 wheels and he said the 2001 model didn't have TPMS... can anyone confirm?

 

none of our 430's have TPMS sensor in our wheels.

 

TPWS or whatever its called.. did they skip the 2001 model? I know the 04's carry it.

 

The Ls430 doesn't have TPMS sensors. It uses the wheel speed sensors to measure differences in individual wheel speed to determine if a tire is low.

 

okay does the 2001 model use this system?

 

There is no tire pressure warning system in any 2003 or earlier models.
